Has your stimulus check arrived yet?
Mine hasn’t. But some people’s have. You could google something along the lines of “when is the government sending stimulus check?” or “$1200 check” or “where is the coronavirus check?” and get a variety of answers from a variety of places and people who don’t know what is true because nothing works like it is supposed to.
This is caused some relief and impatience from people on Twitter. Here are a few examples:
Naturally, I wanted today’s recommendation to be based on the collective waiting game we’re all playing. I asked some friends from some recommendations, and here is what they came up with:
Blank Check is about an 11-year-old boy who is rich but feels like he’s poor because his dad is frugal so he forges a blank check for a million dollars and gets to live his rich, little dreams. Mr. Deeds is an early 2000s Adam Sandler comedy about a simple, humble fellow coming into a massive fortune.
I found these suggestions funny, if not helpful, but Andy made a good point:
While this is a good point, here is a still from Blank Check that I found on the internet. It’s a grown woman kissing a little boy.
Yikes.
Anyway, I’m still high from Sandler in Uncut Gems, so I wouldn’t mind revisiting Mr. Deeds even though it’s a minor Sandler, in my opinion that you’ve signed up for (please don’t unsubscribe). Also, here’s a gif from the movie that feels politically relevant.
Ok. That’s it. Hit the buttons below if you’re feeling nostalgic.
